How do I smooth rough sawed metal egdes on my handmade components?

I usually use a medium or fine-cut hand file for metal to smooth rough edges. You can then follow up with a fine grit sandpaper if necessary. There are also numerous grinding, sanding and polishing wheels available for a flexshaft, dremel or polishing machine.Return to Tumble Polishing Q & A.
