Do you know of an easy way to contain ear nuts in the tumbler so that they are easy to find after finished tumbling? Searching through the shot for hours looking for the nuts are not my idea of time well spent!
Stacy's Answer:
Hi Lynda!
Ah.......picking small items out of the shot. A real pain that! You could string them on a piece of thin copper wire right through one of the loops and twist the ends of the wire together so the ear nuts would not fall off. Make a few "bracelets" of ear nuts. They should tumble just fine and cutting the wires then slipping the finished ear nuts off would be lots easier than picking through the shot. I'm sure stringing them would be less time consuming and tedious than picking loose findings.
When tumbling, I string beads and other small items if possible to help me avoid just such a scenario.
