Choker Necklace

The chrysalis is a symbol of renewal, rebirth, a new beginning. It's the perfect centerpiece for this modern New Age choker style necklace.

I created this necklace with a heavy gauge Sterling silver wire core, hand-wrapped with coordinating Sterling and copper accents. Yards and yards of Sterling silver wire, tiny copper and fine silver beads and Sterling tubes all wrapped together form the chrysalis focal, which measures a generous 3-1/2 inches in length and is 5/8 inches at it's widest point.

Because it's solid, this piece has a nice heft. I find it very comfortable but it's not a necklace for those who like dainty jewelry. If you enjoy a bold unique style, this necklace is for you.

The choker is a wonderful accessory - easy to wear, comfortable and very stylish. Its simple design really shows off the unique focal.

A warm patina enhances the richness of the multi-layered design. The necklace is 17 inches in length but you may lengthen it with the included 1-1/2 inch chain.
